Meet Chef Rosabrina

With Italian-American roots, a love for homemade food creations was instilled early on. My father was born in Italy and came here at a young age while my mother was born in NJ and grew up in her father's pizzeria, Cosmo Bella's. From both sides of my family every tradition and gathering was centered around food. As a kid we spent most weekends at Cosmo Bella's, until I graduated high school and began my college career. Starting off as an architect major, I quickly realized it was not for me. I took a year off to research majors and found I had a passion for the way the body works and what fuels it. Since we live in a world where college is pushed on us I began my

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Scienceat Montclair State University in 2017. Classes were interesting, yet I never felt fully engaged, but I pushed through. Having to pay my way through college, I worked as a waitress at my Uncle Tony's restaurant, Boniello's, and as a sous chef at Zest in Fairfield. It was at both Boniello's and Zest where I really started to see my creativity with food maximized. Graduating in the heart of the pandemic in 2020, I spent most of my days developing and experimenting different recipes until finally getting a job in corporate as a food technologist. Through the last three years I continued my passion as much as I could while also having a day job. At the end of 2022 I realized I wasn't feeling fulfilled in my day-to-day tasks and the only thing I looked forward to was cooking. I decided I didn't want to spend my life waiting for one certain part of my day to be happy and with the support and help of my amazing boyfriend and family I began Rosabrina's Cucina. I am truly thankful for every part of my journey and all of those who have contributed. Food is my love language and the fuel to our every day lives.
