Crab-Stuffed Flounder


Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, but also fancy enough to impress your guests at a dinner party. This combination of the flaky fish, savory crab meat, and delicious seasonings is sure to satisfy your taste buds.


Ingredients:

  • 2 celery stalks diced

  • 1/2 can of crab meat

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2.5 tbsp mayo

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • extra virgin olive oil

  • 4 flounder filets

  • Half a stick of garlic herb butter (Click here for dairy-free!)

  • Paprika


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together the diced celery, crab meat, onion powder, black pepper, mayo, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Take each flounder filet and place a spoonful of the mixture on one side of the filet.

  4. Fold over the filet, enclosing the mixture inside.

  5. Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the stuffed flounder and sprinkle with paprika.

  6. Place the stuffed flounder on a greased baking dish and top each one with a slice of garlic herb butter or melt the garlic herb butter.

  7. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until the fish is fully cooked and flakes easily with a fork.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious stuffed flounder!


Tips:

  • You can use any type of mild white fish for this recipe, such as sole or tilapia.

  • Make sure to drain the excess liquid from the crab meat before using it in the stuffing mixture.

  • If you don't have garlic herb butter on hand, you can use regular butter and add some minced garlic and herbs of your choice to the mixture.

  • This stuffed flounder pairs well with a side of rice or roasted vegetables.
