Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Welcome to Rosabrina's Cucina, where I share my favorite recipes and cooking tips! Today, I want to show you how to make a delicious homemade cranberry sauce that will elevate your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. This recipe is super easy and only requires three simple ingredients. Are you ready? Let's get started!


  • 12 oz. bag of cranberries, fresh or frozen

  • 1 full orange

  • 3 tbsp of sugar


  1. Cut the orange in half and squeeze out all of its juice into a small saucepan.

  2. Add the cranberries and sugar to the saucepan. Mix well.

  3. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Once the cranberries start to burst and the sauce thickens, remove from heat.

  5. Let the cranberry sauce cool before serving. You can serve it warm or chilled, depending on your preference.


  • If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can add more sugar according to your taste.

  • For a more flavorful sauce, you can also add in a pinch of cinnamon or ginger.

  • This homemade cranberry sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
